EU Taxonomy in practice - eligibility of economic activities

This workshop will provide a clear overview of the Taxonomy and it’s background and intended roadmap. Furthermore, it will give you guidance and practical advice from across the CEE region on how to assess the eligibility of the economic activities and the process to align those activities.

ESG has come into focus following the new European Green deal and subsequent regulations, mainly SFDR, EU Taxonomy and CSRD. Taking the role of a global leader in sustainability, the EU has decided to create a universal classification of economic activities which have a substantial contribution to achieving the environmental objectives set within the EU Green Deal. This classification is known as the EU Taxonomy and it has caused a ruckus in the business world.

Additionally, for deeper understanding of the ESG topic, participants will have access to e-learning modules with up-to-date and relevant insights. E-learnings will be updated frequently as new EU regulations are put in force.

EU Taxonomy in practice - eligibility of economic activities: Who is it for?

It is intended for persons interested in sustainability and the EU regulatory requirements that lie ahead, as well as individuals whose responsibilities include overseeing the publication of the company's annual reports.

Companies under the scope of NFRD have to publish taxonomy related data for FY 2021. However, this webinar is also advised for companies with over 250 employees and €40 million in net turnover and/or €20 million in assets to start preparing for their obligatory disclosures in annual reports from FY 2023.

Benefits for participants

After the workshop participants will be able to:

  • Understand the process for determining eligibility of their economic activities
  • Take the steps for implementation of taxonomy-aligned activities
  • Understand the background of the EU Taxonomy and sustainable finance

Participants have an option to choose between two e-learning packages that cover various ESG topics in a practical and interactive way.
